Sorry. Long time, no update. Why anybody decided that teachers need to earn a certain number of graduate credits in their first few years teaching is beyond me. Just finished up my first 2 grad classes this week, and I finally feel like I can breathe. I finally feel like the school year is ACTUALLY over and I can start to enjoy my summer! AND, it just hit me that I'm leaving for vacation in 2 days. And by vacation, I mean a cruise. And by a cruise, I mean a cruise that leaves from Venice. Not Venice Beach. The real Venice. As in, I'm flying to Italy in 2 freaking days. I'm scared out of my wits very excited to be flying over the ocean for the first time. I'm going to sleep the whole way there and pretend I'm in my bed.
Because I'm so pumped that my first 2 grad classes are over, I'm throwing everything in my TpT store on sale for the next 2 days. Some of you have already snagged my Common Core "I Can" Statements, so if you haven't yet, now's the perfect time!!
And thanks to all of you who've already headed over to Bloglovin to follow my blog! Google Reader is going away in just a few days, so if you haven't taken the time to import all the blogs you follow, I'd head over there soon! There's a button on the side of my blog to head you in the right direction.
Hope you're all enjoying your summers!

Common Core "I Can" Statements
Today being my first official day without school, I decided to get some work done on the computer... I've heard buzz of people wanting "I Can" statements for the Common Core standards, so I thought I'd give it a shot. I knew it would take some time, but I completely underestimated how many stinking standards we have for first grade! 100+ slides later, I'm done with my Common Core "I Can" Statements for First Grade.

One Day More!
There are only 4 hours left before some sweet, sweet time off! Tomorrow is a half-day, then we're done! Today was field day at our school, and we weren't quite sure if the rain was going to hold off long enough! It stated to sprinkle as we were lining up for a school-wide photo... perfect timing!
I wanted to share 2 awesome end of the year finds! First off, I found these candy bar awards on TpT and I aboslutely love them! I can't wait to give them to my little firsts tomorrow!! You can find them *HERE*. I love love love them. There's 50ish different awards to choose from so that you can give each student a different one. Since I'm a Hershey native, these were a must!
I also found these bubble tags for FREE! I got bubbles 3 for a dollar at the Dollar Tree, and wrapped them with these little gems. They say "You Blew Me Away This Year!" and I love the way they turned out. Fun, easy, and cheap.
Do you have any fun end of the year gifts/awards that you do with your class?
Enjoy the rest of your year if you're not done yet!!
